Finding a Place to Get Lunch in Edmonton? We’ve Got You Covered

We at Realty Unleashed love lunch. In fact, it is such a part of our culture here that we have a budget specifically called “Lunch.” Since we order food almost daily, you’d think that we would have tried every spot in the city by now. While we must be close to that milestone, we have our favorites that frequent our lunch rotations.

You may be a Real Estate Edmonton an or someone visiting good ‘ol YEG. Regardless, we’ve curated a list of our top five favorites spots to grab a good meal with you in mind. And you can trust us because we are basically lunch connoisseurs.

Remedy Cafe

Our love for Remedy runs deep. If you are in the market for authentic Indian cuisine, Remedy should be at the top of your list. They are located just a few blocks down from our office, so we order there often! Each of us has a favourite, but nothing will ever beat their butter chicken with half rice, half naan.

They also have a vegan option that is truly just as good! OH, and if you’re someone who loves a chai latte, you’re in luck. You will not be disappointed with any of the variations of chai available at the cafe. The dirty chai is a personal favourite if you like something with a bit of spice. It’s the perfect afternoon pick-me-up! {@remedycafe}

Domino’s Pizza

Pizza

Yes, you heard us right. Domino’s is near and dear to our office hearts. We call on them so often that they might as well have our number saved. While Domino’s is not an Edmonton-only spot, we feel it’s vital to include them on our list. Why might you ask? Well, because we have discovered the greatest pizza order that will surely change your life. Our go-to order is an extra-large pepperoni with jalapeños. That’s it. It might sound simple, but it truly is the greatest combo you’ll find. Oh, and we can’t forget to mention you should definitely make your pizza BROOKLYN STYLE.

This means you’re going to get huge slices, and seriously, who doesn’t want that? But it doesn’t stop there. Our pizza order is not complete until we add the parmesan bites. These bites are little doughy balls of cheesy magic. Cracking open an ice-cold Coke Zero on the side has never tasted better. {@dominoscanada}

Tiramisu Bistro

We don’t just love Tiramisu because they are our neighbours (hey!). We also love them because they make spaghetti in a cone. Did you get that? Spaghetti. In. A. Cone. It’s such a fun way to eat pasta; eating spaghetti in a bowl feels wrong now. But, if for some reason you are not huge on spaghetti, fear not. Their kale caesar salad is a MUST if you are in the mood for something a bit leafier or vegetable-based. It also goes great with the bolognese cone if you’re extra hungry; a win-win!

The caesar dressing is house-made and completely delicious. This Italian restaurant has super cute vibes, and their staff are always lovely. If you’re wandering around 124 street, definitely stop by and grab a bite. And while you’re there, look up and over to The Grand and give us a wave! {@tiramisu_bistro}

Farrow

Farrow

If you love sandwiches, you definitely won’t want to miss out on Farrow. They have three locations to choose from, 124 Street, Ritchie, and Garneau. Depending on what your taste buds are calling for, there are some great options that won’t leave you bummed out. There is something for everyone! Our favourite sandwich is the beloved Grick Middle. Bite down on a delicious bun that is bursting with only the best flavours and textures. That means bacon, rosemary aioli, smoked cheddar, tomato jam, arugula, and a perfectly cooked fried egg.

If you’re living that vegan life, try their H*A*S*H sammy! It is decorated with tofu scramble, hash browns, coconut bacon, and more goodies. They also make some hype-worthy coffee and have various baked goods made in-house each morning. {@farrowsandwiches}

Tres Carnales Taqueria

Tres Carnales

If you are after a dang good Mexican meal, look no further. Tres Carnales is a favourite around here for many reasons. Their salsa is incredible, every taco is drool-worthy, and because they are Edmonton born and raised, just like us! If you’re looking at the menu and thinking to yourself: “How am I supposed to pick just ONE thing to get for lunch?” Well, we are here as your food fairy godmother to help you choose. If you like a fish taco, their Pescado is incredible! Pacific red snapper lightly battered and fried, with garnishings that make your taste buds sing.

If you’re more of a veggie taco fan, the Calabacín y Frijoles is also delicious. It’s made with zucchini and black beans sauteed in chile-garlic oil. Regardless of what you go with, you won’t be disappointed with anything you get from Tres Carnales Taqueria… we promise! {@trescarnales}
