January’s benchmark selling price of $472,000. While there was a slight increase in month-over-month prices, January saw a significant 11.7% increase from 2021 to 2022.
What is a benchmark price? The benchmark price is the estimated value of a “typical” home in a community, based on the most popular combination of features, e.g. age, size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms.
Sales and Inventory
January brought in 2,009 real estate sales, which is approximately 20.5% more than January 2021. The inventory for the month sits at 2,620, about 35% less than the previous year.
Conclusion
While there was a dip in year-over-year inventory, January 2022 still saw some meaningful market increases.
