New year, new market stats! January saw increases in year-over-year numbers when it came to inventory and home prices, while sales took a dip.
Home Prices
Home prices just barely dipped from last month and increased by nearly 3% compared to January of 2024.
What is a benchmark price? The benchmark price is the estimated value of a “typical” home in a community, based on the most popular combination of features, e.g. age, size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms.
Sales and Inventory
Although sales saw a 12% decline compared to last year, inventory increased by a whopping 68% from 2024!
