The consultation usually means that the staging company will come into your home and give you an idea of how they can work with what you already have. The next phase is an organizing consultation. This phase consists of a home stager organizing your existing decor, and planning what can be moved to storage during your listing period. This service is typically upwards of $800, on top of the walk-through consultation. You can take it up a notch by paying around $1,500 for a redesign plan, which includes a thorough document of furniture display, including what you already own and rented furniture.
How much do furniture rentals cost?
This is where things can get really costly. You can anticipate paying approximately $500-$600 per month for each room you stage. The rooms that you should focus on staging are the primary bedroom, a kid’s room and the living room. The kitchen and bathrooms can get by just fine with a good clean and a few small decor pieces; something like a few cookbooks in the kitchen with a succulent will suffice!
