Home prices and sales increased in October! Here are some of the Calgary real estate market stats for the month.
Home Prices
Calgary saw a nearly 10% increase in year-over-year home prices in October and a 0.2% increase compared to the previous month. The benchmark sales price for the month of October sits at $570,300.
What is a benchmark price? The benchmark price is the estimated value of a “typical” home in a community, based on the most popular combination of features, e.g. age, size, number of bedrooms and bathrooms.
Sales and Inventory
Sales in October reached 2,171, which is a meaningful increase of 17% compared to last October. Inventory for the month decreased by 18% compared to last year, sitting at 3,190.
